Meet Austin!!!!

Austin's mom, Andrea, called me to come over to her mom's house to photograph Austin. When I got there he was in the back yard with nana playing and I immediately started shooting. Austin was in such a playful mood that day. He was loving the camera! He was such a ham, smiling and running around everywhere. He kept wanting to pet the cats, but they had a different agenda. It was so sweet watching Andrea chase him and how excited he got trying to get away. Thanks Andrea for letting me come spend time with your family!

Meet April and Chris!!

April contacted me to schedule a session with her and her boyfriend, Chris. She wanted something in downtown Jonesborough. We met up there and they brought their dog, which I thought was really neat! I live in Jonesborough and every time I go downtown I always pass this house that has awesome wooden garage doors. So right before I met up with them I went to the house and asked the owner if it would be okay if I photographed in front of his doors. I was so excited when he said yes! Poor April had on heels and it was a hike from where we orginally had met up, so April I hope your sore feet think there are worth it! She was such a trooper! During our session one of the local restaurants had a live Cello player outside and we got to incorporate that into thier day. Thanks April and Chris! I cant wait to see you guys again!

Meet Evan!!

Evan's mom is a dear friend of mine and she wanted a session with just Evan. We decided to track to downtown Jonesborough and walk around and let Evan do his own thing. I hadn't seen Evan in awhile so when he jumped out of the car and I saw his cool surfer hairdo I went crazy! He is such a cutie! He had us all over downtown with all that energy he has! Laura thanks for letting me take Evan's pictures and you and your belly (maternity) are next!!!!

Meet Benjamin!!

Benjamin, his dad, and I decided to take a drive up to Steele Creek park in Bristol. This park is a really neat place to take pictures at. There are so many cool things you can do there from taking paddle boats out in the lake to sliding down one of their many slides! Benjamin was such a doll! He cracked me up when his daddy asked him to walk like an old man and he bent his knees and started to walk like an old man! I about fell over it was so funny! Benjamin was such a sport we had him all over that park and he was still going when the session was over! Thanks Benjamin and Eddie for letting me come along to the park with you guys!

Meet baby Taylor!!

The Taylor family is the coolest family to be around! My boys LOVE them and well, I do too! When I met Hollie she was 6 months pregnant and I was already thinking of all the neat pictures I could take of her newborn. Its really an obsession I have. My friends laugh at me because when we go out or are together, I'm always scoping out the place for cool ways I could take pictures there. Anyways, I've really needed practice shooting newborns lately, so I'm thankful all my friends have been having babies! You would think something that doesn't move hardly at all would be so easy to photography, well let's just say I'm thankful for all the practice! Thanks Hollie and Billy for letting me come over and share the morning with you taking pictures of Cash! Can't wait until his next session!

Meet baby Aiden!!

When I saw that my old personal trainer (she moved jobs or she'd still be my trainer) was pregnant again, I just had to go flag her down and ask her if I could photograph her newest addition. When I met her she brought along Aiden's older brother Gabe, so I was able to get some sweet pictures of him too! I was really excited because I had just bought a wooden trundle from Pottery Barn that I was going to try out on the baby. Thanks Brianne for letting me photograph your beautiful family!

Rockstar Wedding Photographer Workshop

I just recently attended my first workshop ever and let me just tell you how excited I am to use all the valuable information I learned there on you guys!! Wow! What a group of awesome people and the photography talent there was just amazing! I had such a great time sitting in class learning and then in the afternoon going out to shoot and practice what we learned! I felt like I was in college all over again and I LOVED it! Thanks Corey McNabb for putting on such an awesome workshop!!

Day One: Sunday October 28th

Today we all met up for a meet and greet type deal. Corey's studio was very nicely decorated and his wife Jill made us all awesome drinks!

Day Two: Monday October 29th

Today was our first class day. Everyone had their laptops out and was ready to learn. I felt like I was in college again and LOVED it! After we came back from lunch we went to UNC Botanical Gardens and photographed a couple there. I have really been working on getting some awesome sunflare in my pictures and I am really proud of this one shot I got there. Thanks John and Anna for allowing us to follow you around like popparizi!

Day Three: Tuesday October 30th

Today we learned about sales and marketing. Adam Linke from Pictage also presented and showed us some neat things their company has to offer. For lunch we all headed to this AWESOME barbeque place called 12 Bones! After lunch we headed over to Biltmore to shoot and learn.

Day 5: November 2

I was so excited about Amber Holritz's presentation on her business. She is an awesome lifestyle photographer from Chattanooga, TN. After class we went along with her on a baby session and to not freak the baby out we observed while she photographed. The family that we photographed was so sweet. They sang songs to baby Hank and they laughed and played the whole time. They had even taken the time to have us snacks and drinks when the session was over. Thanks Chuck and Cendi for letting us have class at your house!
